Vltava river cruises at a glance
A boat gives you a view of Charles Bridge from the water, with the arches and the castle on the hill behind them. The offers fall into three groups. Small boats take you into the Čertovka, also called the Devil's Channel. Classic sightseeing boats run along the river for a set time. Larger boats serve dinner or a buffet over about three hours.
Prices on this page are in euros, as the operators set them, and are valid for 2026. They are examples from one large operator, not a range for every boat on the river, and the final price depends on the product and the date.

The Devil's Channel by small boat
The Čertovka is the narrow mill channel that separates Kampa from the Malá Strana bank. The small-boat trip lasts 50 minutes and passes Charles Bridge and the Grand Prior's Mill with its water wheel. It leaves from the pier near Čech Bridge and the Dvořák embankment, not at Charles Bridge itself.
Whether the boats go depends on the water level and the state of the channel, and a trip can be cancelled. Departures run daily all year, with fewer in winter. A large dinner boat does not pass through the channel. Do not book one if the Devil's Channel is what you want.

Booking, check-in and the pier
The practical points that people miss.
Reserve or buy at the box office
A reservation is recommended and guarantees you a seat. Tickets are also sold at the box office. This is the operator's advice, not a legal requirement.
Check-in times
Be at the pier about 15 minutes before a regular cruise and 20 to 30 minutes before a dinner cruise. Regular check-in ends 10 minutes before departure, and boarding ends 5 minutes before. Arrive earlier than that to be safe.
Pier 3B
One large operator names pier 3B for its regular cruises. Check the pier on your own ticket, because other operators use other piers and a wooden-boat service uses the Judita pier below Křižovnické náměstí.
Children and discounts
Child prices exist, but the age limits differ by product, and a student or senior discount does not apply to every trip. Read the age groups on the ticket before you pay.
Different boats, different terms
Historic wooden boats use the Judita pier, which is in use all year. Their terms are their own, so do not transfer the prices or check-in rules above to them.
Which cruise suits which trip
If you have one hour and want the bridge from the water, pick the Devil's Channel boat or the shortest sightseeing cruise. If you want the sweep of the river and the skyline, a classic cruise of 120 minutes covers more of it.
The dinner cruise is a three-hour evening. It makes sense if the meal is part of the plan, not if you only want a view of the bridge. After the cruise you can finish on the bridge itself; the night page shows how to get home.
